My name is Johana, I am originally from Nice, France and I have been living in the United States since January 2013.
The reason why I created this blog is to help anyone who needs support and guidance throughout the adjustment of status process.
Let me first tell you my story.
I arrived in the United States on January 28th, 2013 as an au pair in Vienna, Virginia. I spent one year with an amazing family when I decided that I wanted to change scenery. I spent my second year as an au pair in Oceanside, California.
In June 2014, I met my husband while I was still an au pair. We got married on January 24th, 2015.
We moved from California to Florida in June 2016 where I now work as an executive assistant as well as a blogger for Bonjour Sunday
My mission is to help anyone who needs advice and who doesn’t know where to start.
When I applied for my green card, I had no one helping me and it was very stressful. I looked online for blogs that could guide me step by step through the process, but found nothing.
I created the Facebook group Au pairs married in the United States in February 2015 in order to get help and create a community. I have helped many other au pairs struggling with understanding the necessary steps to the green card.
I hope to help you and inspire you !
